The potential side effects of Synergistic Sculpting include but are not limited to:
NOISE - During the process, individuals may experience "noise" spreading through the body. Remember that "sound waves" produce noise and as the sonic waves pulse through and destroy fat, the client may experience this as sound. It can be annoying, but is in no way harmful. HEAT - The process produces heat and clients will occasionally report this on their skin. If it becomes uncomfortable, let your practitioner know and they can apply additional products to reduce friction and heat.
FATIGUE - Some people experience fatigue immediately and for a short period of time after a session. This is related to many factors including the release of toxins. Following the session guidelines will help to alleviate this. REDNESS - There may be transient redness that occurs due to contact with the device wand. It is not a concern and will go away on its own. BRUISING - There have been rare instances of mild bruising associated with this process. Clients who are anemic, taking aspirin, or bruise easily may be more likely to experience this. TIGHTNESS - Clients report a tightening sensation, often described as cramping, that is confined to the area being addressed. This is actually a good thing, though some individuals may find it uncomfortable or mildly painful. It will go away with time. THIRST - Clients have reported an increase in thirst after sessions. This is related to the body's method of encouraging increased water intake in order to flush the fat and toxins from the body. INCREASED URINATION - This is normal as the body is ridding itself of the byproducts of the fat cells which have been destroyed. NAUSEA - A few clients have reported nausea, likely as a result of increased toxins in the system. Flushing the system with water and activity will aide in eliminating this. HYPERLIPIDEMIA - Some of the disrupted fat cell contents that are released into your lymphatic system may enter your bloodstream and cause a temporary rise in triglycerides. This is a potent energy source, and therefore can be alleviated by burning this energy source through activity/exercise. If the recommendations set forth in our post-care instructions are followed, this risk is minimized. However, if a client has problems with high triglycerides or hyperlipidemia, this process may not be appropriate and we suggest consulting with your primary care provider prior to proceeding.
